$15 and Fairness Call for Action - AJAX

Millions of workers across Ontario are counting on the minimum wage increase on January 1st, 2019. We must be mobilizing across the Region of Durham.

Join us on October 15th, at MPP Rod Phillips Office 50 Commercial Ave, AJAX at 4:00 p.m. to demand the government maintain the new workplace rights that workers deserve.

Public opinion surveys show that 62% of small business owners support a $15 minimum wage and a substantial portion of them believe the minimum wage should be even higher than $15 an hour.

Take urgent action for $15 and decent work laws!

The $15 minimum wage and decent work legislation, such as paid sick days, equal pay rules and laws to make it easier to join a union, are all up for grabs. The minimum wage increase is currently scheduled to come into effect on January 1, 2019. Now more than ever, we need to continue to campaign to keep it from the hands of the big business lobby.

Join us on October 15 for our province-wide day of action by signing up below and tell Doug Ford: Hands Off Workers’ Rights!

EMERGENCY RESPONSE: When legislation is tabled, take the same plan you have made for October 15, and do it the day AFTER the legislation is tabled. Keep it simple.
