Durham Region: Rapid Response Network Meeting
Date: July 8, 2019
Time: 5:30 pm (snacks/mingle), 6:00 pm (start)
Meeting Location: TBA
Under the Doug Ford government, there is a lot at stake for labour and communities throughout Ontario.
Labour and community allies must be at the forefront of the Ford Resistance.
On Thursday, July 8, the Ontario Federation of Labour and the Durham Region Labour Council are hosting a Rapid Response Network Meeting in Durham Region. We are inviting all labour and community activists and leaders.
Whether we are fighting for decent work, in support of public education, against cuts and the privatization of public services, or to stand against hate, labour’s vibrancy and activism remain critical to protecting and advancing collective bargaining rights, public services and social justice.
We have fought and won before. We will do it again. Let’s get organized to win!
The regional activation meeting will:
-
- Provide an update on upcoming canvasses for the campaign and sign up volunteers;
- Identify where and how we can build local power in communities across Durham Region for our fightback; and
- Provide training for organizers on organizing effective and safe direct actions
