Hands off Workers Rights

Millions of workers across Ontario are counting on the minimum wage to increase to $ 15 on January 1st, 2019. We must rally against the Provincial Government and the Big Business Lobbyists as they take away the minimum wage increase Ontario workers so desperately need. Public opinion surveys show that 62% of of small business owners support the wage increase, and the majority of them believe that the minimum wage should be higher than $ 15. Join us on Monday October 15th at 4:00 pm, as we rally outside MPP David Piccini’s office at 513 Division St. Cobourg.

Take urgent action for $15 and decent work laws!

The $15 minimum wage and decent work legislation, such as paid sick days, equal pay rules and laws to make it easier to join a union, are all up for grabs. The minimum wage increase is currently scheduled to come into effect on January 1, 2019. Now more than ever, we need to continue to campaign to keep it from the hands of the big business lobby.

Join us on October 15 for our province-wide day of action by signing up below and tell Doug Ford: Hands Off Workers’ Rights!

EMERGENCY RESPONSE: When legislation is tabled, take the same plan you have made for October 15, and do it the day AFTER the legislation is tabled. Keep it simple.
